New guidelines for indoor gatherings

The Swedish Public Health Agency has produced new proposals for regulations on what applies to general gatherings indoors. The regulations are expected to apply from 1 December. In short, this means that for general gatherings indoors of over 100 people, Covid certificate is required for the participants.

How does this affect University West?

The university's activities such as teaching, examinations, workplace meetings, conferences, etc. are not counted as general gatherings and are therefore not affected.

Any events that the university arranges and that are open to the public to participate in physically are counted as general gatherings. In these cases, we need to comply with the Swedish Public Health Agency's requirements for Covid certificates.

As usual, we must be prepared for additional information coming from the Swedish Public Health Agency, which means that we have to adapt.
