After a few days in warm, beautiful Almedalen, it is clear that the green and digital transition is in full swing and that tech companies are taking an increasingly larger role. Many emphasized that Sweden needs to step up in technological development to retain jobs and maintain a leading position in global development.
The program Future Mobility finances strategic mobililty projects that boost research and innovation collaboration between the United States and Sweden.

Sweden's first mobility hotel has opened, a large-scale initiative combining micromobility and micrologistics. The mobility hotel is designed to facilitate quiet and emission-free transportation of goods and people. GoCiklo and Drive Sweden are a part of the initiative.
Swedish radio's program "Vetenskaps-radion" broadcasted a report on self-driving cars and why it has taken longer than expected to roll them out. Felix Andlauer from MobilityService is interviewed about the report he wrote for Drive Sweden.
The project focuses on the visualisation of the climate impact of freight transport with the intention to encourage behavioural change. The aim is to develop and introduce a prototype that contributes to planning and follow up linked to climate impact.
The project aims to contribute to the development of future vehicles by conducting tests of autonomous delivery robots in the city of Helsingborg. The primary deliverable from the project will be the development, implementation, and evaluation of a pilot for delivery robots.
This project monitors, supports and evaluates pilot operations in Karlstad and (tentatively) Region Stockholm, where company cars used in operations are replaced by taxis and other ride-hailing services.
