Lunch & Learn: What is happening in the USA regarding urban logistics?

Welcome to a webinar where insights and lessons learned from a knowledge exchange between Sweden and the USA will be presented. Within a project financed by Future Mobility, VTI (the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute), the City of Gothenburg, and the City of Helsingborg visited the North-western USA to see how they are working with smart solutions for urban logistics. Project updates

New Project: Road Works Warning II

The project's purpose is to increase road safety at road works through a solution that automatically collects, processes, and distributes data about ongoing works from up to 6,000–8,000 road work vehicles in Sweden and Norway.

 

Final Report: Connected Vehicles for Innovative Traffic Safety

In 2023, 232 people lost their lives, and around 15,000 were injured in traffic accidents in Sweden. The aim of the project is to use new technology to develop innovative methods to identify hazardous traffic locations and thereby work proactively to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries on the roads.

The Traffic Safety Days 2025: community gathering for the next step towards Vision Zero

Over 300 participants gathered at Lindholmen in Gothenburg when Sweden's Traffic Safety Days 2025 – Trafiksäkerhetsdagarna - took place. This was a unique occasion where the entire traffic safety community in Sweden met to share knowledge, network, and broaden perspectives for a safer society.

Drive Sweden's programme director Malin Andersson was listed number 9 on Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri list 55 people setting the agenda within mobility and transports. We are pleased to see that many of Drive Sweden's partners also made it to the list, as well as former board members Anna Kramers, KTH and Klara Bergqvist, Gomore. Congrats to you all!

Lunch & Learn: CCAM – Large Scale Demonstration and Beyond

In 2026 Europe will start the preparing for Large Scale Demonstrations which will be the final CCAM project of the ongoing Horizon Europe programme. This will be an instrumental call with many partners, and it is being prepared through a one-year project, a CSA (Coordination and Support Action). Several Swedish actors are part of the discussions, which gives an opportunity to bring in Scandinavian interests and experiences. We will share our thoughts on the collaboration that will carry through this CSA project and beyond.

11 November: Learnings about automated solutions for heavy truck transport from the Swedish use case in the MODI project
Welcome to take part of learnings from the Swedish use case in the EU-project MODI, which has tested several automated solutions for heavy truck transport between ports and logistics hubs. A wide array of tests have been performed on, for example, automated gate access, advanced ADAS solutions for lane merging on highways, automous logistics operations and loading.
